My older brother, Dean, died suddenly from an acute myocardial infarction on May 25, 2001. Among the items he left behind was a 1966 Ford Fairlane that he bought when he was 16.
Due to a series of unfortunate events, the Fairlane was parked outside and left to deteriorate for more than 10 years. Despite it's poor condition it was my brothers prize possession. After he died, I decided to turn the Fairlane into the hot rod of my brother's dreams and dedicate it to his memory.
I hired out most of the work, so work would happen on-and-off as I had money available. After 17 years of work, I'm told it will be done in the fall of 2018 (I hope!)
Below are some pictures of the progress of the car over the year. (Sorry, about the strange order and duplicates)
